just under a year ago, i turned twenty nine and found myself thinking about what was coming next. i wanted to do something that would alleviate the common sentiments of fear and dread that most experience as they say goodbye to their twenties. so, i came up with an idea: a thirty before thirty list. i put together a list of thirty things that i wanted to do or or be about before my next birthday.
starting a blog was number sixteen on my list. my hope was and is that i would articulate more of what is going on in my life and the thoughts that are constantly swirling around in my head. secretly, i have always wanted to be the "moral" version of carrie bradshaw. there is just something about her writing that i love. i think it's the ease in which her punchy sentences draw me in and make me want to express myself as well. so, here i am, sending my thoughts out into cyberspace for all the world to read...or not even know about.
